Turnout at the polls in Manchester was light but steady throughout the day Tuesday as voters cast ballots in the 2025 municipal election.
In Manchester, unofficial results showed incumbent Republican Mayor Jay Ruais defeating Democratic Ward 8 school board member Jessica Spillers, 9,618 to 6,684 votes for mayor. Former alderman, school board member and 2021 mayoral candidate Rich Girard announced a write-in campaign for mayor on Oct. 28, whose numbers were not available at presstime.
Citywide, voters in Manchester were also choosing two aldermen at large and two school committee members at large. In each ward, they would elect one alderman, one school committee member and various ward officials.
