MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. — Mary Parham-Copelan has secured a third term as the mayor of Milledgeville, winning the election day race against challenger Walter Reynolds.
In an interview during the race, Copelan said she is proud of the way her administration has handled adversity, particularly the COVID-19 Pandemic.
"It gave me an opportunity to bring some real leadership skills to the table," Copelan said. "I brought Emory University to Milledgeville, Georgia. They did our first COVID testing site."
Mary Parham-Copelan, 51, is a lifelong resident of Milledgeville. She graduated from Baldwin High School. She and her husband have two daughters, one son, and three grandchildren.
