MANCHESTER, N.H. —

A couple in Hebron got an unexpected visitor Monday when a bobcat wandered into their home.

Leslie Smith-Aprea said her husband accidentally left their glass door open, and the bobcat invited itself inside.

Smith-Aprea said her husband and son managed to get the bobcat out, but not before it scratched one of their walls.

"I looked and there's a cat — what I thought was a cat," she said. "It took me a second. I'm like, 'Why is there a cat? And how did it get in?' And then I stared at it for a second and, oh my goodness, that's not a cat!" she said.

No one was hurt, including the dog.

Smith-Aprea said it will be a great story to tell her grandchildren one day.
