LOUISVILLE, Ky. — TARC is suspending service following a plane crash near the Louisville airport .
The suspension will be for the remainder of the evening due to the shelter-in-place for residents within a five-mile radius around Louisville Muhammad Ali International Airport (SDF) issued by Metro Government.
That shelter-in-place is from Outer Loop northbound to the Ohio River. The public is being asked to avoid the smoke.
TARC says TARC3 is working with current passengers with destinations outside of the shelter-in-place to get them to their destinations.
They say all other pickups have been suspended for later the evening.
Multiple authorities responded to the crash involving the UPS aircraft around 5:30 p.m. Tuesday near the airport.
