The Mesa County Valley School District D51 Board of Education will have a whole new look after Tuesday night’s election.
Two of the three candidates running against incumbents in the D51 school board election are coasting to victory.
According to the Mesa County election site, 43,391 ballots were cast, so unofficially, Vicki Woods and Kaci Cole have enough votes to secure victory.
With nearly 40,000 ballots counted, the District E race looks like it will flip. Woods has a lead over the incumbent Angela Lema of more than 6,400.
Cole’s lead over incumbent Will Jones in the District D race is more than 4,200.
Current School Board President Andrea Haitz has a narrow lead in the District C race over challenger Mike Rathbone of less than 1,000 votes.
