KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) - Thousands of people in the City of Knoxville have cast their vote, and the results are in.
Among the key items on the ballot for Knoxvillians were five city council seats and whether or not to raise sales tax inside city limits.

Of the six districts in Knoxville, five of them saw races for city council seats. Below is a breakdown of each race:
District One
Karyn Adams
Adams is a Knoxville native who has served as the president of the Ijams Nature Center Board and currently serves as the Lindbergh Forest neighborhood representative on the South Knoxville Neighborhood & Business Coalition.
She defeated Becky Jones for the seat.
District Two
