Editorial: Detroit makes the smarter choice

Here’s another reason to be glad Detroit is not New York City.

While voters in the Big Apple were elevating Zohran Mamdani, a Democratic Socialist and borderline communist to their mayor’s office, the Motor City was choosing its first female mayor in Mary Sheffield, who talks of building partnerships with the business community to continue Detroit’s progress.
