PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — Multiple cities in both Rhode Island and Massachusetts went to the polls on Tuesday for the 2025 Election.
Providence Ward 2 voters decided the Democratic nominee for a city council seat left vacant after Helen Anthony stepped down in September to focus on her health .
According to unofficial election results, Democrat Jill Davidson won with 49% of votes for the Democratic Primary for Providence City Council Ward 2.
Davidson will enter the general election against Republican Axel Brito on Dec. 2.
Central Falls voters chose four members for the city’s new hybrid school board.
The following four members were chosen:
Carla Melissa Hernandez with 26.54% of votes
Lizsandra Paneto Gullon with 25.14% of votes
Zuhanna Medina with 23.62% of votes
