EVERGREEN, Ala. (WKRG) — Reid State Technical College has received close to $1 million in grant funding to support youth education and workforce development programs, according to a Reid State news release.
The college received $998,189 in grants from the Alabama Community College System. The money will be used for dual enrollment scholarships, as well as many Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics projects set for 2026.
“Similar grants in years past have opened doors for our students to explore career fields in meaningful ways, and this year’s awards strengthen that effort and stamp our commitment to preparing both a secure workforce and secure workforce pipeline for Alabama,” Reid State President Dr. Coretta Boy
