PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — The Portland men’s cross country squad finished second at the WCC Championships and had three runners in the top 10 on Saturday.
Leading the Pilots was graduate student Jonas Price, who placed third overall with a personal best of 23:15.83. Kgadi Monyebodi crossed the line in sixth and set a personal record at 23:36.58 and Nolan Hosbein finished in seventh at 23:42.09.
The trio was named to the All-WCC First Team for making the top 10. Their fourth runner, Trey Gannon, placed 15th (23:52.34 PR) and received All-WCC Second Team honors and sophomore Anthony Giesch crossed in 19th (23:59.09).
The UP men's team will next head to the NCAA West Regional on Friday, Nov. 14, in Sacramento, Calif.
