LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – The Little Rock City Board of Directors has voted to defer a resolution calling for Ward 2 Director Ken Richardson’s resignation until November 18, following his request to attend meetings virtually under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
City Director Lance Hines, who introduced the resolution, said the decision to delay was made to give the city time to seek legal guidance on Richardson’s ADA request.
“The deferral was based on Director Richardson’s email to the mayor, board of directors, asking for an accommodation under a city ordinance and Americans With Disabilities Act,” Hines said. “We have decided to defer pending on the outcome of that.”
