COEUR D'ALENE, Idaho — Early Election Results (as of 8:30 PM PST):

These returns show support for Coeur d'Alene Council Member Dan Gookin, but totals are preliminary and could change as more precincts report.

The Coeur d’Alene mayoral race features four candidates:

Woody McEvers , the current mayor, is seeking re-election. He says he’s focused on affordable housing and improving relationships with local legislators.

Councilman Dan Gookin , on the city council since 2012, wants to improve communication between the city and the council .

John Pulsipher , a dentist, says he’s running because he’s unimpressed with McEvers and Gookin’s vision for the city.

Debbie Loffman , a relative newcomer, says her leadership qualities and business acumen make her a strong candidate.
