BANGOR -- Thousands of voters showed up in a big way for this year's referendum election.
Even in an off year, the voters of Bangor flocked to the Cross Insurance Center to make their voices heard and their votes count. City Clerk Lisa Goodwin says it's an exciting sight with voters flocking to the polls.
"It's a lot higher than it was in 2023, so I'm just pleased with the turnout for today," said Goodwin. "Voter registration has been steady all day long, yes, so people are updating their registrations, doing name changes, and new registration...everybody's happy, and they're all coming in and enjoying their experience."
