ATASCOCITA, Texas (KTRK) -- Two people were arrested after what authorities describe as an "illegal medical boarding home" was raided Tuesday in Atascocita.
Adult Protective Services confirms three people between the ages of 66 and 97 were removed from the house on Beckett Ridge Drive. One was taken to the hospital, another to a hospice, and the third was released to family.
The Harris County Precinct 4 Constable's Office said conditions at the house were "unsafe," but didn't elaborate.
Eyewitness News saw an elderly man being wheeled out of the home on a stretcher Tuesday afternoon and loaded into an ambulance.
A notice on the door from the Harris County Sheriff's Office ordered the home to cease operations.
Neighbors say they were taken by surprise.
