Fresh tension erupted in Tripura’s Khowai district yesterday evening after two Bangladeshi youths, who had illegally infiltrated through the Indo-Bangla border, were caught by locals and physically assaulted.
The incident, which took place in Bachai Bari under Champahour police station, led to a violent mob attack, leaving both suspected infiltrators injured and has reignited public anger over the alleged inaction of the Border Security Force (BSF).
