Two years doesn’t leave a lot of time for on-the-job training.

Considering that, Brian Rudy plans to lean heavily on his vast political experience, as he was well-positioned Tuesday night to win his race for a seat in Greeley’s city council, representing Ward 4.

After a few batches of results were accounted for in Tuesday night’s election, Rudy had a strong lead in the race, with 50.3% (2,978) of the vote.

Amberleigh Gregor had 31.9% (1,886), while Bill Gillard had 17.8% (1,051).

On paper, Rudy has the most extensive political experience of the three candidates.

Rudy plans to lean on that experience to contribute to the council, as he takes a seat that opened in the middle of Dale Hall’s term, as Hall pursued the Greeley mayor’s office.
