Zeke Cortez is ahead in the Ward 4 City Council race, leading his incumbent opponent Jon Mallo, as 2025 election results were released Tuesday night.
Cortez, who owns a business that provides dining facility services to the military, said that he was feeling confident after early results Tuesday, but didn’t want to claim victory until it was “100% over.”
“I think voters are telling us that they want candidates that are really strong for law and order,” Cortez said Tuesday night. “I think that they want candidates that want to push the city forward.”
After the second round of election results were released around 8:45 p.m., Cortez had received nearly 56.5% of votes and Mallo had received 43.5%, according to election data . There was no change between the first results released around 8
