It’s taken until her 70s but a Perth woman will soon buy her own home for the first time.
The northern suburbs resident became an instant millionaire when her favourite numbers came up in the Millionaire Medley draw on October 24.
Using her decades old numbers, the woman bought the winning System 7 ticket at Crimea Newsagency in Morley, which is now worth $1 million.
Still working in healthcare five days a week, the winner said that she would cut down her hours and spend more time with her loved ones in her new abode.
“My job in healthcare is incredibly rewarding and I’m not ready to retire yet,” she said.
“This win is life-changing but I’ll keep working a few days a week because I love my job so much.
“I’m looking forward to celebrating the win soon with my family.”
