An encounter took place between security forces and terrorists on Wednesday morning in the Kalaban Forest Area, Chhatru, Kishtwar district of Jammu and Kashmir. Official sources said that one jawan was injured by the terrorists' firing. He has been taken to the hospital for treatment.

White Knight Corps stated in a post on social media platform X that the police had received intelligence about terrorists hiding. Following this, the police launched a joint operation with the army and the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF).

This operation has been named Chhatru. Currently, firing is ongoing from both sides. A large number of security forces have been deployed in the area. According to sources, two to three terrorists are suspected to be hiding in the area.
