COEUR D'ALENE, Idaho -- Voters are showing their support for Dan Gookin to become the next mayor of Coeur d'Alene, as early election results roll in on Tuesday night.

Four candidates, including current Mayor Woody McEvers, are vying for the position. As of 11:15 p.m., Gookin is leading the race with 34.19% of the vote against McEver's 26.46%, Loffman's 28% and Pulsipher's 11.35%.

Mayor McEvers has held the position since 2024 and been involved with local CDA government since he was elected to City Council in 2022.
