LAS VEGAS (KLAS) -- The Culinary Union announced that it will be picketing at Harry Reid International Airport Wednesday, as it set a strike deadline for several businesses inside the airport.
Culinary Union Secretary-Treasurer Ted Pappageorge and Culinary Union members went in front of the Clark County Commission to voice concerns about several of the airport's Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBE).
The union said that workers at the business have gone four years without raises and "have been subjected to disrespectful negotiation tactics by companies who have made proposals that threaten health care benefits, reduce recall rights, among other items, and many have not given workers raises in years."
The union is picketing the DBE operators at Harry Reid Airport on Wednesday, Nov. 5.
