A proposal to form a task force that would recommend capital improvement projects for flood recovery and resilience of city government properties will be discussed during the Roswell Finance Committee meeting this week.
Members of this committee are scheduled to meet at 2 p.m. at City Hall, 425 N. Richardson Ave., 2nd floor, in the large conference room.
During the Oct. 9 city council meeting, a few residents requested that this type of advisory group be created so the community is more actively involved with the process of post-flood rehabilitation. One of the speakers at the Oct. 9 council proceeding who spoke in favor of establishing this task force was Laurie Rufe, the retired director of the Roswell Museum.
