HILLSBORO, Ore. (KPTV) - The Hispanic community represents nearly a quarter of the Hillsboro population, and Tuesday night, they, along with others, shared their concerns about the increased ICE activity in the area at a city council meeting.

“They are not welcome in our neighborhood,” said one speaker.

A community asking its leaders to take a stand against the increased ICE presence in Hillsboro.

“They are not just numbers either, these are people. These are fathers, mothers, who are all being affected,” said another speaker.

FOX 12 has reported on several arrests and confrontations involving ICE in the city in just the last three weeks.
