US President Donald Trump saw his Republican colleagues humiliated in a number of elections last night. ‌

The president fumed as Democrats won a races in California, Virginia and New Jersey as well as New York's mayoral contest. ‌

Posting on his Truth Social platform, Trump pointed to polling that suggested people's failure to vote Republican was down, in part, to him not being on the ballot. ‌

He wrote: “TRUMP WASN’T ON THE BALLOT, AND SHUTDOWN, WERE THE TWO REASONS THAT REPUBLICANS LOST ELECTIONS TONIGHT.”
