The Salvation Army Massachusetts Division is kicking off its annual Red Kettle Campaign across the commonwealth, and volunteers are urgently needed in nearly every region.
The campaign, which raises funds to support the organization's services, is especially important this year as more families across Massachusetts face economic hardship, inflation and housing costs heading into the holidays, according to a community announcement.
The Salvation Army provides Christmas gifts and food, emergency assistance with bills and shelter to those without a home. All proceeds from the Red Kettle Campaign support the organization's work in the communities where donations are collected.
