Pakistani actor Saba Qamar has issued a legal notice seeking Rs100 million in damages from a prominent journalist over what she called false and defamatory allegations. The dispute began after journalist Naeem Hanif claimed during a podcast that Qamar once lived in a house in Lahore’s Walton area that was allegedly provided to her by an unnamed individual.

Qamar firmly denied the accusations, sharing a screenshot of the podcast on Instagram and calling the claims “baseless and untrue.” She stated she had never lived in Walton and labelled the remarks as a serious act of character assassination.

Her legal team has since sent a notice to the journalist and the YouTube channel hosting the interview, demanding a public apology and removal of the content within seven days. Failure to comply,
