CLEVELAND — Snow is in the forecast for early next week as we continue to trek through fall and toward winter. So, let’s talk about a few snow stats.
The average first measurable snow for Cleveland Hopkins International Airport is Nov. 10, so Sunday into Monday would be right on track.
We are way beyond the earliest first measurable snow, which was Oct. 2. That happened in both 1974 and 2003.
The latest first measurable snow was Jan. 1, 1924. That’s basically a three month difference between the earliest and latest first measurable snow! That’s if the snow is minimal.
The average first snowfall of at least 1” is closer to Nov. 23. Time will tell how much is able to accumulate early next week.
