UK travellers flying into Tenerife’s largest airport will face stricter entry requirements from tomorrow, November 6.

From Thursday, Tenerife South airport will launch the European Union ’s Entry/Exit System (EES), which will require British citizens to provide their fingerprints and photo at the border, if they haven’t already done so at another EU airport.

The aim of the EES is to create a digital record for third-party nationals, including British citizens, which will eventually replace passport stamping.
