Ahmedabad’s upcoming Bullet Train station is taking inspiration from the city’s rich cultural and historical heritage. Officials revealed that the roof and facade of the station will depict a vibrant canvas of hundreds of kites, while the canopy design is inspired by the intricate lattice work of the iconic Syed Siddique’s Jaali.
The station is planned to be constructed over the existing Western Railway station, covering an area of approximately 38,000 sq. meters above platforms 10, 11, and 12. “This design will provide excellent integration with the Western Railway station through foot over bridges,” an official said. The station will also be linked to the Kalupur Metro station via lifts, staircases, and escalators, ensuring seamless connectivity for commuters.
