Amid the investigation into the alleged suicide of a 29-year-old woman doctor in Phaltan in Maharashtra’s Satara, authorities suspended Sub-Inspector Gopal Badane from service after an inquiry found him guilty of “moral degradation, corruption, perversion, and misuse of authority.” ARTICLE CONTINUES BELOW VIDEO
The doctor, who was working as a medical officer at a government-run hospital in Phaltan, was found dead at a hotel in the city on October 23. According to the police, they found a note written on the woman’s left palm, which said she was allegedly raped four times by Badane and also mentally and sexually assaulted by software engineer Prashant Bankar, for the last few months.
