The family of veteran Jatra artist Devi Rath, on Wednesday, brought serious allegations that the deafening noise from the DJ music during a Kartika Purnima procession led to his death. According to his son, the 71-year-old artist, who had been ailing for some time, was unable to bear the blaring DJ sounds that shook their house late into the night.
“My father’s life was taken by the unbearable sound of the DJ,” the grieving son alleged.
“Despite repeated requests, no one paid attention. Our entire house was trembling due to the loud music,” he added.
He further claimed that three DJ vehicles moved together in the procession, producing ear-splitting noise. The family stated that everything was normal until around 2:30 a.m. However, soon after the DJ systems began playing at high volume,
