Beloved talking parrot Phoenix leaves owner in a flap after he disappears

A Knowle woman is appealing for help after her beloved pet parrot Phoenix flew away. The African grey, which can talk, was last seen in Redcatch Park on October 30.

His owner Kerry is desperate for him to return. “It’s upsetting,” she said.

Kerry has owned Phoenix, who also goes by the nickname Phini Bops, for six years. He has not had his wings clipped, so there is a risk he could have travelled a long way since he escaped.

“He is friendly and talks,” Kerry said. “He may fly to you and if he does, he is friendly. Please don't panic, just take him inside if you're near a building. If you see him don’t try to catch him unless he comes to you.” View 2 Images
