Srinagar, Nov 5: Governor of Bihar, Arif Mohammad Khan on Wednesday described Kashmir as the “crown of India” and a timeless center of learning and wisdom.

Talking to media, he said Kashmir occupies a special place in his heart. “This is not something I’m saying to please anyone or in a ceremonial way,” he said.

“I genuinely mean it when I say that Kashmir is the crown of our country,” Khan said. “In our Sanskrit institutions, before receiving a degree, students are symbolically asked to take a few steps toward Kashmir. It is a gesture of respect to this land of knowledge, wisdom, and learning, he said.
