Giridih, Nov 5: More than 20 people sustained injuries after a clash erupted between two groups during a Kartik Purnima procession in Jharkhand’s Giridih district on Wednesday, officials said.
The incident took place in the Taratand police station area, where a religious procession linked to Tulsi Vivah was underway. According to local residents, a minor dispute during Tulsi Vivah rituals on Tuesday evening escalated into violence the following morning.
The confrontation intensified near the Kali temple, when members of another group allegedly tried to obstruct the procession.
