Belthangady, Nov 5: In a significant development in an illegal cattle transport case, Dharmasthala police have seized the house of one of the accused who was earlier caught allegedly transporting cows for slaughter.

On November 2, police intercepted a Ritz car (registration number KA-19-MC-5862) on Pattur Road in Patrame village, in which three cows were reportedly being transported for slaughter in violation of the law. The police arrested Mohammad Khalil alias Tausif (38), a resident of Ullal taluk, and Mohammad Sinan (25) at the scene.
