The government shutdown has now lasted 36 days, making it the longest one in U.S. history. It’s affecting millions of Americans, federal programs have been halted, flights are being delayed, and government workers across the country still haven’t received their paychecks. Meanwhile President Trump along with other GOP leaders have refused to speak to GOP leaders until the shutdown is lifted. The previors record which was 35 days was also under President Trump.
