WASHINGTON — In a series of Truth Social posts Sunday night, President Donald Trump endorsed Alabama’s four incumbent House Republicans, but noticeably absent from his feed was an endorsement in the competitive GOP primary for Alabama’s 1st Congressional District in 2026.
Trump backed U.S. Reps. Mike Rogers, R-Saks, Robert Aderholt, R-Haleyville, Dale Strong, R-Huntsville and Gary Palmer, R-Birmingham, in their reelection bids.
But the president did not weigh in on the race to take for the AL-1 seat, which former Rep. Jerry Carl and State Rep. Rhett Marques are vying for in 2026. They’re running to succeed Rep. Barry Moore, R-Enterprise, who is running for U.S. Senate.
