The Grand Junction High School soccer team was eliminated from state title contention after a 5-0 loss Tuesday on the road at Pine Creek in the quarterfinals of the Class 4A boys state tournament.
The 1oth-seeded Tigers surrendered three first-half goals and a pair of goals in the second, including one in the game’s final minute, in the lopsided loss to the seventh-seeded Eagles.
