The Indian women’s cricket team players and head coach Amol Muzumdar on Wednesday (November 5) met Prime Minister Narendra Modi at his residence at Lok Kalyan Marg. The PM hosted the champions of the Women’s World Cup and congratulated the Harmanpreet Kaur-led side for the victory in the final played at DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai on Sunday, November 5. The Prime Minister praised the Indian women’s team’s remarkable comeback in the tournament after they suffered three defeats in a row.

Captain Harmanpreet Kaur recalled meeting the PM in 2017 when they had met the PM without the trophy, and now that they have met him with the trophy, they wish to meet him more often.
