CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Duke basketball started its 2025-26 season with a 75-60 win over Texas in the Dick Vitale Invitational at the Spectrum Center.
The No. 6 Blue Devils outscored the Longhorns 43-27 in the second half to pull away for the victory. They were led by 23 points from sophomore wing Isaiah Evans and a double-double of 15 points and 13 rebounds from freshman Cameron Boozer. As a team, Duke finished the night shooting 42.3% (22-of-52) from the field and 39.1% (9-of-23) from 3.
Duke now looks ahead to its home opener against Western Carolina on Saturday, Nov. 8 at Cameron Indoor Stadium.
