NORTH OLMSTED, Ohio -- Voters on Election day approved a charter amendment related to the city accessing additional cooperative purchasing programs.
Vote totals for Issue 24 were 4,881 (88.86%) in favor versus 612 (11.14%) against, according to final, unofficial results from the Cuyahoga County Board of Elections.
“I’m thrilled that it passed because that means we have more options and the taxpayer is getting a bigger bang for their buck,” North Olmsted Mayor Nicole Dailey Jones said.
“That’s what we’re always looking out for, to make sure that we want good quality products, but we want them at the lowest rate possible and that we’re bringing that savings back to the taxpayer.”
The change provides the city with flexibility through comparison shopping.
