Circleville, OH — November 4, 2025
The Logan Elm Local School District’s 1% earned income tax levy passed by a slim margin Tuesday, reflecting the longstanding voting divide between Pickaway and Hocking counties.
According to unofficial results:
Pickaway County voters supported the levy, with 1,618 votes in favor (63.88%) and 915 votes against (36.12%).
Hocking County voters , however, opposed the measure, giving it only 297 votes in favor (39.23%) against 460 votes against (60.77%).
Despite the split, the levy cleared the majority needed for approval at 1915/1375 total votes for both counties.
Key Facts About the Levy
This is not a new tax . Residents have been paying the 1% earned income tax since 2005.
Voting for the levy will not increase taxes .
