Greater Sudbury police say two people died in separate and unrelated pedestrian collisions Wednesday morning.
Officers were first sent to the intersection of Lasalle Boulevard and Attlee Avenue at 4:30 a.m.
A 39-year-old woman was taken to hospital, where she was pronounced dead. The driver stayed at the scene of that crash.
Later that morning, at 6:15 a.m., Sudbury police responded to a crash on Maley Drive near Notre Dame Avenue.
Officers say one person was found dead and the driver left the scene, but was later located by police.
In an email to CBC News, Greater Sudbury police spokesperson Kaitlyn Dunn said both deaths are under investigation.
Police are working with the coroner’s office to identify the person killed on Maley Drive.
Possible charges are pending until the investig
