Chief Justice of India (CJI) B.R. Gavai said that the three pillars of democracy the executive, the judiciary, and the parliament all work together for the welfare of the people; no one can work alone.
Speaking at the launch event of a project at the Maharashtra National Law University (MNLU) campus in Mumbai on Wednesday, CJI Gavai said that the principles of liberty, justice, and equality are enshrined in the Indian Constitution, which form the basis of the functioning of every institution. He said-
The judiciary has neither the power of the sword nor the power of words. In such a situation, public trust is its greatest strength. Without the participation of the executive, it is difficult to provide adequate infrastructure for the judiciary and legal education.
