ANTHEM, AZ (AZFamily) — Christmas is upon us, as many across the state are already preparing for the busy holiday season. One of the Valley’s favorite traditions is the arrival of Arizona’s tallest fresh-cut Christmas tree!

For its 24th year, Outlets North Phoenix in Anthem is putting up the state’s tallest tree. On Wednesday, the 70-foot-tall tree arrived at the mall in a 40-foot flatbed truck, accompanied by St. Nick himself!

An industrial crane lifted the massive tree upright outside the mall’s entrance. Over the course of two weeks, a team will decorate the tree with over 1.5 miles of LED lights, 10,000 bulbs and 5,000 ornaments and bows. A three-foot copper star will sit on top as an ode to Arizona’s official metal.
