Chelsea have released a statement condemning racial abuse aimed towards their academy players on Wednesday.
The Blues faced Qarabag in their UEFA Youth League and won 5-0 to go top of the table with four wins from four.
Sol Gordon put Chelsea ahead with 57 minutes played, with he and his teammates celebrating in front of the Qarabag support.
According to the BBC, some fans confronted them and eyewitnesses saw and heard monkey gestures .
The match was paused for a short while as the Chelsea players and coaching staff complained to the referee.
Chelsea are said to have looked close to stopping play altogether, but they continued and thrashed their opposition.
