Missed last month’s supermoon ? Californians will get their second chance at seeing an especially large and bright full moon with the Beaver moon on Wednesday, Nov. 5.

This full moon is the second of three consecutive supermoons that make for a stunning sight for stargazers, late-night commuters and anyone else with a view of the night sky.

A supermoon is when a full moon is at or near its closest point to Earth, a point known as the perigee, according to NASA . Though it’s still tens of thousands of miles away from Earth, the moon appears “especially large and bright in the sky,” NASA said.
