ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – The Vortex Theatre is gearing up for two new one-acts by New Mexican playwrights. The one-acts open Friday, November 14 and run through November 23, with performances Friday - Sunday.

The Conservator by Brian Hansen follows the story of an art conservator with a secret. The character is a wealthy and accomplished member of international society and is part of a family that has held a discreet place in the history of art forgery. Big, Fat Mess by Jen Stephenson is a true story about Jen's journey as an immuno-compromised person during COVID who recognizes she has an alcohol and drug problem and turns her trauma into art.
