This college football season has seen an unusually high number of head coaches fired midseason, particularly within the SEC .

LSU, Auburn, Arkansas, and Florida all have an openings at the head coach spot at this point in the season.

The most recent opening was at Auburn, which fired Hugh Freeze following another disappointing start to the season. He went 15-19 during his time at the school, falling into a similar pattern to other coaches who failed to turn the team around.

Auburn's pipeline is filled with plenty of talent waiting to be recruited, and the school has a substantial amount of resources to compete in the modern transfer portal, as well.
