After winning the New York Mayor elections, Zohran Mamdani on Wednesday he has won the elections but the “beautiful prose of governing has only just begun" as “New Yorkers deserve a government they can trust".

Speaking for the first time publicly as the New York mayor-elect, Mamdani said: “Last night we made history. I am so proud to be standing here today as the mayor elect of the greatest city in the world. Over two million New Yorkers cast their ballots… I will work everyday to honour the trust that I now hold."
